On May 6th, the whole world was watching, tweeting, and commenting on the royal day here in the United Kingdom. Well, at least 50%. I came down to the Coronation as it was a once-in-a-lifetime event to see the crowning of a new era for the British Commonwealth. I interviewed people from across Europe and America who came to see this event. We laughed, talked, and enjoyed the experience as a whole. I even got a dinner invite to Wales... So step into the coronation day 2023.

As a big girl, I always said I would get my belly button pierced after my tummy was flat. But no more and I got three new piercings to show for it and proud of them!

I explored the Roman Bath Museum, ate at Bosco pizzeria,  roamed around the sites including; Bridgerton shooting location scenes, and attempted to participate in the Therma Spa experience. This trip was a solo trip for me, and it was a time to depress from the usual hustle and bustle in my everyday life. Enjoy my journey in exploring a new city for me and have discussions about future plans for next time. There will definitely be a next time in Bath, England.

Let's talk about the profession of social work and how it is depicted in the media. Social Workers are not professionals taking children from good homes. We are here to support families. However, due to the media's portrayal of social workers as negative outlook on families. There needs to be changed in order for families can feel comfortable about the at least 75% of social workers who are actually making an impact on their clients' lives. The negative stories that make it to news stations are a breakdown in process and government red tape more than the social worker in the case. We will be discussing how this impacts the work social workers do and the impact social workers have on themselves. We need better representation and better pay!

The mindblowing situation that we have experienced following this story of 25-year-old nursing student Carlee Russell who went missing for 49 hours and returned home safely. We should be grateful that she return home but there are questions about if she actually was abducted or not. Hoover Police Department just had a press conference confirming that they cannot confirm a lot of Carlee's story. Does this change your outlook on the situation in general? My Dad came to England for a visit in March 2023. It was a great experience showing my dad around the United Kingdom with a trip to pubs, afternoon tea, London attractions, and meeting friends/family here.
