This is a strange thing. So many words of judgment. Where is the relief? Where is the good news? We’ll turn the tables in this sermon and show how the judgment of one group, means relief and rescue for another. The downfall of the oppressors means rescue for the oppressed. This is good news for the oppressed! The LORD is just and does not overlook injustice. God’s judgment then is good news for them. The call of Moses is God’s answer to the oppression of Israel; God is determined to rescue his people from those who oppress them.
