Let Me Say This episodes

  • America’s Progressive Child: Ruby Bridges, Black Panther’s Huey Newton & The Great Audre Lorde.
America’s leaders come in all shapes and sizes. Of all genders. Of all sexual preferences. Young and old.
Ruby Bridges: the force behind desegregating schools. The weight of America’s guilt placed on her shoulders. She just wanted to go to school. And in that, forced proper education to be a right for ALL children.
Huey P Newton. The revolution belongs in the hands of the young and the willing. And Huey knew what a tall order it was to take on the establishment. And he was willing to go to it’s lengths.. even if it cost him his life.
Audre Lorde. An author for the ages. The masters tools cannot be used against the master’s house. The pain inflicted by the oppressor will never be the solution for the oppressed. Complete destruction of the system will.

  • Giving Jack’s Flowers—Local Acts Only! The Two G’s I’m Most Concerned About: Gender & Gadgets
Straying away from news/politics on this episode. I want to give a good friend his recognition on the good he’s doing in the community & what he’s been able to accomplish so far!
The space he gives for creatives/content creators—those who have something to share has been phenomenal to say the least. If you want to know more, please go check out @Local Acts Only on Instagram & to subscribe to the YouTube channel @Local Acts Only!
The second half of the episode comes down to Gender & Technology. The perspective about gender I will be applying to my kids & hopefully a common view that others will slowly adopt also. And the direction of gadgets.. is Elon Musk right about his predictions? I think so.

  • Election Day.. So, what’s next?
With what seems to be the day everyone’s been waiting for since the start of 2017.. we’ve made it. Through a pandemic, another era of heightened racial tensions, and the invention of Zoom.. our country has surely been tested.

  • #SAVETHEPOSTOFFICE Trump’s Task of Delivering Final Blow to the USPS & Local BLM Rallies—I’m Proud.
The post office is under direct fire from a federal level—getting placed in a precarious position as the “bad guy looking to do harm” in this upcoming election.
A citizens information and necessity item transmitter—is being labeled as fraudulent and incapable of supporting a primarily mail-in voter ballot.
Do people not know the influx of Christmas toys and drug dealer shipments that are securely passed through the mail waves.. every single week? Something like a vote (a piece of paper).. should have little problem being getting to where it needs to go.
And the local rallies are doing their thing. I’m proud to have been apart of such a professionally run sit-in with these kids dropping truth bombs on racism, the history of police unions, promotion of anti-racist views, not just a “non-racist” outlook. The future looks good, and it’s coming from kids of all backgrounds.

  • NBA Players Putting Money Where Their Mouth is, Women Who Make a Difference, & VP Kamala Harris..?
NBA players and athletes in general are asked to be the backbone for millions of people. Provide them with entertainment & escape from their lives.. while still dealing with their own. Jrue Holiday & Patty Mills are some of the players who have done their part to manage all of this and still give back ten-fold.
Ayiana Ma’at is bringing mental health awareness and spaces for black people to look to. For something that often seems foreign, Ayiana is including ways for clients to reach providers that are often under-represented or inaccessible in most therapist practices. And the kicker? Covid wont limit their outreach.
Young women in tandem are able to do extraordinary things when given the chance. Asia Brown & Abby Stolz have decided to give children books that introduce them to positive race protagonists and stories.
So.. Kamala Harris is the Vice President running mate. What does this mean for Joe Biden and the 2020 election? It means many things...

  • Reese McGuire’s Walk of Shame, Congratulations Cori Bush, Israel’s Covid Conflict &College Struggles
The MLB has Covid Issues.. and apparently sexual deviants also. The culprit?—Reese McGuire and his self-entanglement.
Congratulations to Cori Bush for being the future this country needs. From protester to politician, she’s climbing up the ladder quickly! A woman who has done everything , that this country has proven that she should be able to do.. but has.
Israel has a failing leadership too.. Protests break out in Jerusalem about the failure in power of their Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. And the hypocrisy from its political leaders mimics that of ours and some of the citizens who fail to listen to government, when it inconveniences them.. but are pro-rule when it comes to others.
And returning to college is going to be a challenge this Fall for the kids in the states.. imagine how difficult it’ll be for international students. They’re left with the residual effects of a country hell-bent on making education a politicized ultimatum.

  • Security of Bubble Sports, 55 Years Since Equal Voting Act was Signed.. & Kanye wants OUT of Jersey
The state of sports is seeing just how effective their protocols can be. Some are doing it better than others. NBA, NHL, Golf can survive this new world.. but can the NFL & MLB? And has the virus opened up a dialogue about the safety and health of players on multiple fronts? And how do college athletes survive this?
August 6th 1965, the Equal Voting Act got passed into law. 55 years later were seeing just how impactful it was, who and what it took to get to where we are now, and why we need to keep pressing on and holding everyone accountable for keeping the vote available and appropriate.
Do you miss the old Kanye? Well, the new one wants nothing to do with getting his name on the ballot for New Jersey voters this election. A recent article states his withdraw came with additional suspicion from state verifiers about certain signatures on the submission form. Is this Fall going to be a sign of future polarized news stories, or are we seeing the end of all things true and upstanding?
