    Author: Lord Dunsany

    Narrator: Chirag Patel

    Format: Unabridged

    Length: 3:10:21

    Language: English

    Release date: 04-09-20

    Publisher: Findaway Voices

    Genres: Teen, Sci-Fi & Fantasy

    Summary:

In the dark days that followed the first world war, it seemed to many that all dreams had died, that wonder and fantasy could not survive in a world that knew trenches and poppies blooming where the blood fell.

Come now as we travel through strange adventures and wonderful magics. Learn of the whimsies of gods, and the terrible fates that await those that cross them. See how the office of postman fell vacant in Otford-under-the-wold, and how a sack of emeralds brought only disaster to it's holder. Explore the strange mysteries of the old brown coat, the deep inland of China with a confused shepherd, the lands where the dwarves fought the demigods, and a city of wonder perhaps less unreal than it first appears.

Includes Idle Days On The Yann from A Dreamer's Tales as the first part of three stories, collectively titled 'Beyond The Fields We Know'. Come along with the poet as he searches to once again pass beyond the realities mundane and into the Lands of Dream, along the fabled river Yann, to find the fate of the Avenger of Perdondaris.

Edward Plunkett, the Baron Dunsany, was just gaining his stride as the world's first modern fantasy author, and wrote this book of tales to help show that dreams still came, dark and fantastical as they may be.

ebook includes illustrations by Sidney Syme, Lord Dunsany's artist.

    Summary:

When you see perfectionism in others and see the results of perfectionism, you would probably have a hard time believing that perfectionism could be holding so many people back. Truth is, perfectionism is holding many people back in a lot of ways. When you see a perfectly clean home, a perfect workplace report and a perfect garden you can't help but envy the perfectionist, we often think we are somehow flawed when we look at the outcomes of the perfectionist vs our own. Perfectionism takes time, it takes a lot of time to make things perfect and not only does it cost you a great deal of time but it is also costing you mental wellbeing and happiness.

I used to be a chronic stress head. I have lived with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) my whole life and have always struggled with making things perfect. The problem with making things perfect all the time is that it is stressful and causes me major anxiety. I was a highly anxious worrier that would overthink everything so much Id become easily overwhelmed and crippled with procrastination. And yet these days, most people around me cant for the life of them understand why the things they get worked up about dont bother me any more. So basically, Ive learned to (for the most part) overcome stress. The good news is that in the process, I left a trail of mental breadcrumbs so I can tell you exactly how I did it.

    Release date: 04-09-20

    Publisher: Findaway Voices

Genres: Biography & Memoir, Ancient Civilizations, History & Culture

    Summary:

While he remains far less known than Hannibal, Publius Cornelius Scipio, the man who has become known to history as Scipio Africanus, is widely regarded as one of the greatest military leaders of all time. In the space of less than 10 years, the genius of Scipio took Rome from being on the brink of utter destruction to becoming the dominant power in the Mediterranean. He displayed not just acute understanding of the tactical needs of the battlefield but also a strategic overview that consistently allowed him to confound his enemies. Scipio has been described as the embodiment of grand strategy, as his campaigns are the supreme example in history of its meaning.

However, like many other successful military leaders, Scipio proved much less able to deal with the envy and political machinations of the Roman Senate, and he ended his life not in glory but in bitter, self-imposed retirement, much the same way Hannibal did. Both men left legacies of military genius, catastrophic defeats, perseverance in the face of setbacks, astounding victories. Their stories also heavily involve ingratitude, envy, and enmity from within.

Scipio Africanus: The Life and Legacy of the Roman General Who Defeated Hannibal during the Second Punic War chronicles how Scipio rose to prominence, his legendary victory at Zama, and the legacy he had on antiquity.

    Saint of Saints

During one of Catherine of Siena's ecstasies, she exclaimed, referring to St. Agnes of Montepulciano:'I give you thanks oh my Lord, for showing me the place that will be mine (in Paradise), next to my sister Agnes.'

Who is this Saint (virtually unknown in our country) that a powerful Saint and Doctor of the Church - Catherine of Siena should say this of her?

We're about Holy Clusters again.God is bringing us to Tuscany, once more, ancient Tuscany filled with a history of the greatest Saints and most deplorable sinners.Agnes, one of the great Saints was born in 1268, in a hamlet three miles from Montepulciano, named Gracciano, in the 'Villa di Gracciano Vecchio.'A Dominican like Catherine, Agnes would die April 20, 1317, thirty years before Catherine of Siena was born.Again, the Church is in crisis; again God sends us powerful men and women Saints!

Agnes was born into the nobility. At age nine, she would ask permission from her parents to enter a monastery of Nuns living a very austere life, in Montepulciano. They were called Le Suore del Sacco, Sacchine or Sisters of the Sackcloth, because of the coarse material of which their habits were made.

Genres: History, Biography & Memoir, Military

    Summary:

John Steele left his family and home at the tender age of 16 to join the Royal Navy. In a select branch of only 200 he subsequently qualified as the youngest Clearance Diver at that time. He then moved on to a life as a commercial oilfield diver and for 22 years worked in the unforgiving depths of the North Sea and Persian Gulf. In 2004 a new industry was opening up. After an intense re-education he secured a job with one of the largest private security companies working with the reconstruction of Iraq. This involved explosive and gunshot filled daily runs deep into the heart of the Mosul and Baghdad red zones at the height of the post war troubles.

Security tasks followed in Africa involving Anti-Piracy duties aboard ships off the dangerous Somali coastline. An advisory position was then offered in the Swamp Area around Brass Island in Bayelsa State working with the Nigerian militarys Joint Task Force.

He now has a gold prospecting operation 230km above the Arctic Circle in a beautiful but wild part of Finland. He successfully obtained his own gold claim in 2019 which was aptly named Kaikki Peliin, or in English, ALL IN.

As I U-turned, my wheels slipped off the tarmac into the gooey mud and the vehicle hesitated. I slipped into four-wheel drive and gassed it. My vehicle took the brunt of incoming PKM light machine gun and AK47 fire from insurgents hidden in the fruit and veg stand and sand berms. The rounds impacting the vehicles armour sounded like sledgehammers and eventually at least one found a weak spot and entered the engine bay. I could feel the engine dying as I desperately tried to move away from the junction. A few seconds later I ended up facing away from the contact point with a dead engine stuck in first gear. I was holding the key down and chugging up the road with flat tyres and moving on the batteries and starter motor!

We came to a grinding halt in the middle of the kill zone
