As we’re well into autumn now, grab a hot brew sit back and enjoy today’s myth.  Αργός (argos) in Ancient Greece meant both fast and slow depending on how it was used. Now days it only means slow. Λήθη (Lethe) in Ancient Greece was the daughter of strife and she herself is mentioned as the mother of the 3 graces.  Her name was given to one of the five rivers running through Hades. The underworld. It is said that the souls of those who had done good in life drunk from the river of Lethe to forget all their pains and have a happy everafter. Λήθη is the personification of oblivion combined with αργος and adjusting it to modern times it means feeling sleepy or sluggish. ΛΗΘΑΡΓΟΣ/LETHARGY
