I decided to have a round table discussion with a few amazing people to discuss the current situation in our country.

Episode 26 of Let's Bare It All

On episode 26, we had our first COUPLE! Laura was joined by Dusty and Rocky.

Laura “met” Dusty through Instagram and connected due to their weight-loss journeys, shortly after she started interacting with Rocky, Dusty’s wife.

Laura has always said that they’re COUPLE GOALS! They support each other, they motivate each other, and they keep each other accountable. In this episode Dusty and Rocky talk about their WHY. The WHY they started their weight-loss journey again after so many failed attempts. The couple opens up about their issues with becoming pregnant, how they met, and how they became a marriage.

A HUGE congratulations is in order because they’re FINALLY pregnant and expecting their first baby. I am so happy for them. Listen to Dusty and Rocky about who wants a boy and who wants a girl.

Episode 25 of Let's Bare It All

On episode 25, Laura was joined by returning author of Don’t Fall Prey, Bethanee Epifani, along with her friend Marcus.

Bethanee Epifani comes back and joins the podcast to dive into two of her chapters.

I hope you give the episode a chance and you come with an open mind. These types of conversations aren’t easy (I feel like I sound like a broken record) but they’re needed.

One thing is for sure no matter what community you come from we can always connect with each other. Look at how I was able to say “OMG I can relate” even in these two chapters.

In this episode we dove into chapter 16 and 17 of her book, Dating as a Black Woman in America: Residue of Slavery and Dating as a Black Woman in America: Where did the love go. Bethanee made some great points and I thank her for being so open and honest. I also want to give Marcus a huge shoutout for being vulnerable, especially as a man, I know that’s not easy. My hope for this episode is to create a genuine dialogue between communities.

I have to be honest I could’t put the book down, it’s definitely a great read. I have to admit I wasn’t sure what I was going to get with her book but its such and authentic book and I truly appreciate it. I’m all about authenticity and this book gave me that.

Bethanee and I dive into a few chapters of her book like, Power of the Pu$$y, The Fixer Upper, Digital Love, and Dates… What are those?, just to name a few.

Bethanee and I actually ran out of time so she’ll be back next week for episode 25 - and I can already tell these will be some hard conversations.

Last week LBIA dropped an episode about how covid-19 has completely changed all of our lives. Episode 20 brought up questions in regards to dating during quarantine, how can we do it? Should we do it? Flavio shares how he’s managing this quarantine and how it’s changed his life. Flavio and Laura share how they met, but Laura isn’t too fond of remembering that night. Not only does Flavio share his thoughts on cheating but on what his perfect quarantine date would be.
