I met Henry during high school in our guitar class. He -- even then -- was a phenomenal guitarist. Over time, I watched Henry grow deeper into his craft, or so I thought. Listen to the entire podcast to hear what we talk about.
Throughout my discussions with more and more people, I've noted a couple of things that each person seems to have in common which is that we all have a rise, a fall, and a rebirth (of sorts). Henry discussed how he really felt his truest when he was in high school playing the guitar. The fall comes post-high school when life hit him and he decided to party too much. He fell from his path. He fell far and this routine of bad habits led to further issues. The moment he was at his lowest, he spoke about how he learned who his true friends were. He learned who was really going to be there for him, but he also learned that he needed to protect his peace.
Protect your peace. That's the most important philosophy that I've discovered recently also and the energy that it took me to hone in and focus on drew me toward more people with similar energy. There are various people that I've either have come back into my life or came into my life, all are on the same wavelength as me -- but we all have our one thing to keep us grounded. Henry goes on and explains how getting back into his craft instead of pursuing what was not truly him really pushed him to learn that. We aren't taught about real life in school. We aren't taught about dealing with those ups and downs in school.
I want to thank Henry for hosting us in his basement studio for this podcast and dropping many gems throughout the podcast.
