In this episode we dive into our relationships with parents, teachers/mentors, and friends. During a year when COVID-19 has impacted how and who we can show up for, it is important to remember who is in our lives and how we can love and support them!
-----
THE PARENT/CHILD RELATIONSHIP:
PARENTS CAN STRUGGLE TOO! BUT No matter where you are or what you’re feeling, your parents can be your forever captains. And that takes HARD work and HEART work.
THE TEACHER/MENTOR RELATIONSHIP:
Choose to appreciate the teacher who wants you to grow instead of to stay the same (AKA the one who CHALLENGES you). And don't forget to say THANK YOU!
THE FRIENDSHIP
Just as you grow, so will your friends. I don’t think there’s a right way to go about making and keeping friends. But make sure you’re surrounded by friends who love, encourage, and accept you as you are.
Remember, your relationships are built on YOUR foundation. Take care of yourself. Healthy relationships require YOU to be healthy and kind. Even when and if you don’t feel your people are the best, you can choose to believe they’re doing their best.
