Classical archaeologist and etruscologist Hampus Olsson joins this special episode of Let's Dig Deeper, to do a deep-dive on the Etruscan civilisation and its origins.
Recorded at the Danish Institute in Rome, this episode takes a look at the early history of the Etruscans, their relationship with Rome and their civil structure. How did Etruscan society function, and how did the Etruscan people integrate into the Roman Empire?
These are some of the questions we seek to answer today!

Welcome to the first episode of Let's Dig Deeper Season 3!
We're kicking off this season with a series of special episodes - The Rome Run. This is a miniseries of 5 episodes that I recorded this summer when I stayed at the Danish Institute in Rome.
This first episode covers the topic of the Roman baths and bathing culture within the empire. To enlighten me, I teamed up with Jens Koehler, classical archaeologist and adjunct assistant professor at John Cabot University. Jens is also part of the faculty at the American University in Rome.
