Wa hia Obokhian. Welcome to “Let’s Ẹdo’lize it: An Ẹdo Language Podcast". In this introductory episode, we talk about the goal of this podcast, how it’s structured, and how you can make the best out of its content as a learner. You also get to know the host, Steffy Uwaifo, who has been promoting Edo culture and formally teaching Edo language for the past five years through her platform Ẹdo Language Institute (online classes, YouTube videos, Instagram and Facebook). A new episode will be released every two weeks. Every now and then, guests (Ẹdo students, Ẹdo teachers, Ẹdo scholars, and Ẹdo personalities) will also be featured in the episodes.

Become deliberate in listening to people speaking Edo (aka Bini). STOP ZONING OUT!
Ask your Edo parents/relatives or Edo spouse to speak Edo with you! E.g., suggest a challenge Idea “24h of speaking only Edo in your household!”
Take advantage of Edo popular culture that you enjoy (Edo cultural dances, Edo rap Edo movies etc.).
Get yourself some Edo learning materials and resources (books, flashcards, courses etc.) Hope you will come around here very often and join the conversation.
