  • Courage
Eric Nordhoff - Eric and I talk about not having regrets,
living dangerously, finding out what you're capable of,
and how there's always a way to find more time to pursue your passions.
If you want to take a chance on YOU, this is your podcast.
Today on Let's Figure It Out you'll meet Eric Nordhoff.
You may know him as the Co-Founder of Walker Stalker Con, now called Fan Fest, an Inc Fortune 500 company.
He is a courageous innovator, creator, entrepreneur and business inventor who is having success monetizing his creativity.
Eric shares with us his professional journey and how he's followed fun and listened to his gut to pursue what some may call an unconventional career path.
Eric's career began managing domestic and international sales and marketing at christian entertainment companies for a decade, touting artists like Amy Grant, Sixpence None the Richer, Michael W. Smith and Take 6.
In 2008 he had the foresight to see how working in the music industry was going to change with the evolution of iTunes and online music. He saw the growing trend of Amazon and Ebay and leveraged his music relationships to create new online sales businesses.
He was an early adopter of podcasts, seeing their future in business development, realizing he could leverage them to help grow his sales team.
In 2013, he took a love of the TV show "The Walking Dead" and together with James Frazier, founded The Walker Stalkers Podcast for fans of the TV Show. It evolved into a successful convention business - Walker Stalker Con (and it's affiliated Heroes & Villains Fan Fest) serving 500,000+ people annually. The company, Fan Fest, is now an Inc. 500 company.
A heads up, Eric and I have known each other since high school so you'll get an inside peek into two "young" friends reconnecting. I was excited to feature him on the podcast to share with you how he figured out how to monetize his creativity, continue evolving, and be one step ahead of the trends.

  • Spirituality
Pam Robertson - Today on Let's Figure It Out You'll meet - Pam Robertson - a Certified Spiritual Director.
For over 20 years Pam has been involved in teaching women how to live more meaningful and joy filled lives. Known for her compassionate listening, coupled with her intuitive teaching, Pam has garnered a huge following and is a sought-after speaker, guide and leader. She is dedicated to raising awareness on a large variety of spiritual topics. Pam believes the intention of spiritual practices is to pull us back to the present moment so we can hear what we need. She describes her work with clients as "exactly what you didn’t know you needed."
You may know Pam as the co-creator of Meredith's Jars of Joy. Today she'll share the inspirational story for creating the jars seven years ago with her oldest daughter Meredith.
Pam grew into her spirituality through her own struggles. At a young age, a teacher told Pam she wasn’t smart. While the teacher was wrong, Pam believed him, and this label left a lasting impression on her. It was then after she lost her mother during her early 20s that Pam grew into her spirituality, and learned to develop her gifts. It was out of a desire to see herself and help others that she pursued her path to become a Spiritual Counselor. Pam is now a conduit to help others address their sorrows, fears and insecurities to find themselves.
Today Pam and I talk about spirituality and kindness, and how a her little jar of quotes has had a big rippling effect globally.
Pam holds a Masters in Ministry and a Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Drew University’s Theological School. She’s trained in The Practices of Wisdom at Moravian Seminary and recently graduated from their Advanced Spiritual Direction Program.
Pam Robertson is a Spiritual Counselor serving individuals privately in her Summit, New Jersey office, as well as organizations onsite through workshops and retreats.

  • Community
Jen Hedrick + Angie Comiteau - On a lovely Saturday afternoon Jen and Angie stopped by my home to talk about their journey in building the first Bar Method studio outside of California in 2008 and being tapped to help Bar Method create an expansion plan on how to open up nationally.
Both had had successful careers prior to meeting each other at a local music class for their children. They became fast friends as they talked about feeling out of shape and disconnected from their community.
On the outside it may look like creating their extremely successful business was easy. It was not. Like any entrepreneur setting off on a new course they had fearful thoughts - what if no one liked the workout, what if they failed, and could they pull it off. But together they felt courage.
At the time, Bar Method had just a handful of studios located only in California. Not only did Jen and Angie launch what became a very lucrative business in their town, but it ignited the expansion of the Bar Method franchise up and down the east coast, resulting in New Jersey hosting the most Bar Method studios next to California.
Jen and Angie's drive and determination to create a quality, superior, safe, effective exercise experience ran parallel with their inspiration to create a supportive community.
While a financially successful business was welcome, money was NOT their driving motivation. They set out to start the business for the experience, the journey and the excitement. Along the way they realized the true gold in their business - the community they were building - being a way to connect with others and an opportunity to promote kindness and support, resulting in a business that has a soul.
Let's Figure It Out with Jen Hedrick and Angie Comiteau.
You can catch Angie in her sold out classes in Summit, and in the coming months, Jen will be back on the schedule in Summit leading classes women line up for. For more information about Bar Method and a class near you, visit BarMethod.com. We'll be watching to see what Jen and Angie have up their sleeves next.
