Let's Get Both Ties

Originally intended to be the first proper episode of Let's Get Both Ties, this attempted crossover with The Royal Podcast of Oz was more experimental and doesn't quite reflect the format we're now pursuing. However, author Paul Dana is wonderful guest and we appreciate him spending time talking to Jay. So we present the conversations largely unedited, after trying to fix the sound levels and removing background noise.

The original files are on Jay's first streaming laptop which broke, luckily, a YouTube upload of them provided an easy archive.

Tara Tagliaferro of Down the Yellow Brick Pod joins Jay in talking about the Strega Nona franchise by Tomie dePaola and its queer elements. They branch into other favorite holiday favorites that shaped their childhoods as well, but an Italian good witch remains at the core.
