To beat the discouragement you have to build your faith. First thing is to "get past your wounds" from the past. Have honest conversations with those you're spending time with and leave everything in 2018 and start 2019 fresh. Secondly, "know your purpose," spend the holidays digging into the Bible and prayer to find your purpose for why you're spending time with who you're with. And lastly, "resist the resistance," by getting past any opposition you might meet, whether from other or yourself.
