The 2nd Annual Middle Georgia Coffee Crawl kicks off on Monday, January 6, featuring two of Historic Downtown Perry's locally owned independent coffee shops - Morning By Morning Coffee Company and Bodega Brew!

The Middle Georgia Coffee Crawl is hosted by Little Light Coffee Co. and shines a spotlight seven Houston County coffee shops by encouraging participants to visit all seven stops between January 6th through January 26th for an opportunity to win cool prizes!

Middle Georgia’s first cat cafe has officially opened in Perry! You may be asking - Just what exactly is a Cat Cafe? Picture an inviting space where patrons can enjoy coffee and cuddles with adoptable cats! During their first month of operation, the cafe helped generate more than a dozen adoptions - including the adoption of one cat who had been with a rescue since 2022!

Partnering with three regional rescues, the cafe can host cats, each with their own unique story and personality, and help lighten the load for our local shelters.

While the primary mission of the cafe is to help match people with the purr-fect companion, the cafe is open to anyone who enjoys spending time with feline friends, even if you are not currently looking to adopt. 

The Paws Awhile Cat Cafe is located in the Perry Plaza on Macon Road alongside local favorites like Yoder’s Sandwich Shoppe and Skipper John’s. The cafe serves a variety of bites and beverages, including treats from another Houston County small business, Woodlands Coffee Roasters & Cafe.

The award-winning Perry International Festival returns to Historic Downtown Perry on Saturday, September 28 from 10 AM - 8 PM!

Visit Perry is proud to announce that the Perry International Festival has been named a "Top 20 Signature Event of the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society!

The Southeast Tourism Society proudly represents 13 Member States across the southeast (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia) and each year, communities compete to receive the prestigious "Signature Event of the Southeast" designation!

Celebrate as cultures come together at one of the largest FREE International Festivals in the Southeast through dance, song, food, shopping and art at the Perry International Festival!

With representation from more than 25 countries, we invite you to come discover the diversity that makes Middle Georgia so wonderful! The mission of the Perry International Festival is to promote the preservation of heritage and tradition through cultural education and entertainment.

Through the talent of local artists, dancers, musicians and more, we allow attendees an opportunity to develop a deeper connection to their own cultures while learning about the others around them that make up our melting pot of Middle Georgia!
