Etching your imprint of impact in the sand is often influenced by lived life experiences. It often forms what your passionate about and how you elect to disperse your energy. For international motivational speaker Adam Brooks: As a creative, educator, mentor and coach with a passion for helping people to discover their purpose and fight their fears, my desire is to empower people to live happy and fulfilled lives and, in my own words 'level up'.
I survived a knife attack, which took place within a church service, where I was stabbed three times, including twice in my neck. Doctors called me a walking miracle, but the truth is, the incident that could have killed me, ended up giving me a completely new lease of life that I can't imagine living my life without now. He joined me this week, to tell me more.

Utilizing words to convey emotions, feelings and thoughts can be transformational and a catalyst towards healing. For Juliet Rose she’s using writing to persevere through adversity and inspire others. By the time she was ten years old Juliet Rose knew she wanted to be a writer. She entertained neighborhood kids with her stories after school and with the support of her mother got her first typewriter. Life had other plans and after the death of her mother when Juliet was eleven, she put those dreams on hold. Over the decades she has picked up the proverbial pen time and again, writing about her life experiences including the cancer diagnosis and subsequent passing of her four-year-old daughter. Focusing on fiction currently, she is driven to bring to life characters from many walks of life and the struggles faced in modern society. Her writing style is open and fluid, giving the characters the ability to shine as the truth of their own story. Her works are honest and sometimes brutally painful but in the end her characters are given the voice which needs to be heard.

Despite the added stress and exhaustion, of the Covid-19 pandemic, women are rising to the moment as stronger leaders and taking on the extra work that comes with this: compared with men at the same level, women are doing more to support their teams and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. However, their rise up the corporate ladder doesn’t happen at the same rate as their male counterparts. Women continue to face a broken rung at the first step up to manager: for every 100 men promoted to manager, only 86 women are promoted McKinsey & Company. As a result, men outnumber women significantly at the manager level, which means that there are far fewer women to promote to higher levels. The broken rung likely explains why representation of women at the senior-manager, director, and vice-president levels has improved more slowly than the pipeline overall.
Kim Meninger is a women's leadership coach and consultant. “I specialize in helping women in traditionally male-dominated fields to more confidently navigate their work environments and rise to higher levels of leadership.” She has a particular focus on impostor syndrome, which is an epidemic across workplaces, especially those that lack psychological safety. Her primary goal is to help women recognize that they are not a problem to be fixed. Instead of internalizing the challenges they face in the workplace, She encourages them to empower themselves with greater confidence, visibility and influence. She joined me this week to tell me more.
