In today’s episode, we cover a surprisingly deep mix of leadership, life, and performance themes — starting with Ted Lasso, of all things.
We get into:
Ted Lasso's infectious positivity
How small moments of kindness and authenticity can shift entire relationships
The “top relationships audit”: a brutally honest way to check where your energy is going vs where you want it to go
Being present, not parallel—why many of us live “next to” our most important people instead of with them
How to stop unconsciously burning your time, attention, and emotional bandwidth on the wrong people
What someone constantly complains about really tells you about them
Reading people through behaviour, not telepathy
Why many ‘confident looking’ people are actually the most insecure in the room
The 5 micro-habits that will instantly make you more professional than 95% of people
The 'Inner Game of Tennis' book — and why your body knows more than your brain when it comes to performance
How to get into the flow state, stop overthinking, and let your body execute
This one ranges from psychology to relationships, from leadership habits to sport, from projection to presence…
and somehow still ends at pickleball.

25 Eps!
Christian and Laura throw out the schedule (again) and jump into a wide-ranging, candid conversation that moves from ankle injuries and Birkenstocks to deep philosophy, business strategy, health hacks, and the art of difficult conversations.
We dive into Ram Dass’s teachings on accepting life’s contradictions, the idea that “that’s the predicament” is a perfectly valid conclusion. We explore how spirituality fits into real life, not just mountain retreats.
The conversation shifts to “hoarding contacts”, debating whether keeping networks private is smart protection or small-minded insecurity.
Choosing clients reflects on years of trial and error, learning to say no to clients who don’t align. We also cover toxic employers, offering practical advice if you're stuck in a bad environment.
Health Corner covers lots — vitamin D, black seed oil, beef liver, kefir, and methylfolate (tied to the MTHFR gene).
Christian then gives a shot glass on inflation, explaining rising CPI, energy costs, and the risk of stagflation.
Finally, we close with avoiding hard conversations. Christian shares that people over-prepare emotionally but under-prepare structurally, and some ways to improve.

Christian and Laura kick off with fashion (barrel-leg pants, LTK creator life) and the “Back Australia” push vs fast-fashion retailers Temu & Shein. Do they have a point?
They dive into how introverts manage big social weeks, rapid ways to cut rising anxiety, the non-sexy basics for starting a business (structure, insurance, shareholder agreements), and how to handle competitive colleagues—without going the dark path.
Key topics:
Slow fashion > fast dopamine: Buy less, buy better, and why the balance is important.
Back Australia watch: Local retailers vs ultra-cheap offshore e-commerce is a major battleground for Australian business and culture.
Anxiety playbook (non-medical): What we do when we feel anxiety creeping up, including removing the word “should.”
Start-up essentials: Laura's advice on what you need if you're thinking about a new business or side hustle. Spoiler alert: Company structure, Insurance and a Shareholder Agreement top the list. “A shareholder agreement is a prenup for business.”
How to handle competing with colleagues: Laura's view on this may surprise you, but Christian's view will DEFINITELY surprise.

Christian Cunningham and Laura Racky got QUITE ranty in this particular episode.
Firstly - teenagers get a bad rap, but they're unreal. Energetic, smart, yeah they can argue a lot but who would want them to be ANY different?
We also go into LinkedIn self congratulators and the posting of AI slop. Got a bit spicy there.
We got deep on dealing with rejection, and how it can have a devastating and disproportionate effect on people's lives. Well worth a listen.
Also, Christian did a segment on the Australian jobs market and economic red flags. They're starting to pile up...
Laura (a bit ranty) got into her dislike of performative people who virtue signal LOUDLY but do nothing. To be very clear, Christian is in full agreement.
Christian was very prickly about how references are being dealt with, after some illuminating responses to a previous episode.
And finally, Laura led a masterclass on opportunities for young people to make HUGE career jumps by actively looking for opportunities to learn.
Note - we had a few technical camera issues, but thanks to our elite technical team, you won't even notice.
Thanks all for listening.

Christian Cunningham and Laura Racky got into some great detail about Laura making a QUANTUM LEAP, and the difficulty she goes through when that happens.
We got deep into how FEAR, DOUBT, and ANXIETY block us from living our best possible lives, and some ways to get to the other side of it.
Christian outlined his 5 obvious differences between elite performing teams and poor performing teams. This is inspired by real world experience and about 50 books, but 5 dysfunctions is a good place to start.
Also discussed 'catching' ourselves arguing, and how it is clearly a sign that we're dysregulated in some way.
Also Oompa Loompas somehow snuck in.
Fun episode.
Thanks all for listening.

Christian Cunningham and Laura Racky starting off with a discussion about distraction in ways many could understand.
We get reasonably deep on Shame, Regret, Embarrassment, and forgiving previous versions of yourself for mistakes they made or what they should have known.
The Manifesting Journey continues, and we discuss putting your energy in the places you WANT to grow. Feeding the good or bad wolf will make them grow..
Christian did a short 'shot glass' segment on the Federal Budget.
We also covered the progress of AI and how we need to be preparing for some elements of our jobs to disappear.
Laura did a brilliant segment on her 'SLOW BLINK' advice and just how impactful that has been. Responses to people who are behaving inappropriately are difficult, and this helps!
We also covered customer and client obsession, one of Christian's favourite topics.
Probably some other things too. PACKED!
Thanks all for listening.

Christian Cunningham and Laura Racky starting with a discussion about the magnificent show The Leftovers.
From here it gets a little winding...
We covered flowing with the river and the book 'The Game Of Life And How To Play It' by Florence Shinn.
We got into a difficult question asked of us by a first time mother with a professional career - and it led to the discussion about what is driving my next 20 years of professional and parenting decisions?
We covered flowing with the river, what we think about when setting an example for the kids, blocking out 'keeping up with the Joneses' or bothering with the opinions of NPCs.
Finally, a small segment on putting accountability where it belongs and defending your turf.
Very good discussion.
Thanks all for listening.

Easily our best episode yet.
Christian Cunningham and Laura Racky getting into the BIGGEST argument we have ever had, and how we have resolved it.
We get deep into how we came together on powerful manifestation, which was a battleground but we have finally managed to work it out.
Christian delivers a 12 PART Odyssey on How To Climb The Corporate Ladder. If you follow this, you are GUARANTEED success*.
Finally, we discussed what we're optimistic about, and finished on a positive note.
Thanks all for listening.

Christian Cunningham and Laura Racky with ep 18(!) of Let's Just Start Podcast.
We started in sunglasses because it's Spring AND THE FUTURE IS TOO BRIGHT.
Laura talked about setting standards for yourself, and how it can cause friction with how you interact with others (great topic).
We talked about the potential impact of the 'feelgood' 5% deposit policy and how it could debt trap First Home Buyers forever.
We also covered high performers in companies, that MANY OR MAYBE MOST companies are not built for them, and how you can deal with it.
Also incentives - necessity or profit motive - everything cascades down from these two things.
We also got deep on Laura's optimism that the AI march is going to be just another evolution, and Christian stuck his neck out on his beliefs about what's possible.
Finally, Big Group Hug Pickleball for Purpose. Sign up!
Thanks all for listening.
