LET'S LOOK AT SNAILS (Lightning Bolt Books) ---
WE look at our snail folks often and most often daily and honor and appreciate them as WE share our gardens with them and lovingly do so, and through the reading of all OUR favorite Amazon books on Snails, we have come to learn how to pick them up and pet them and silently talk to them, and WE find WE also learn MANY GLORIOUS lessons from our Snail Folks, for their caring and loving ways amongst themselves and their watchful eyes on their families and with their mates, in their choices of foods and habitats and when and where they choose to have their lives and their friends. BLESS them ALL. WE really LOOOVE our Snail Folk, and hope others are open to learn all the lovely traits of these tiny beings and come to honor them and appreciate their work and lives more. Blessings.
Beautiful photography and quality construction.
This book is very informative and would probably be best suited for an educational setting. The text is simple but precise. The pictures are brilliantly colored and quite beautiful for the subject matter. My guess is the quality of the photography is what makes this book so expensive. If you can wait to see if it goes on the bargain book list again, please do. You will feel much better about the purchase. That being said, for the amount of use a teacher/school would see with this text, the full purchase price would definitely be worth it.
Snail non-fiction for an avid 6-year old snail lover
I bought this book for my grandson's sixth birthday. He has developed a deep interest in snails (last year it was dragons). His mother had a problem finding him books about snails that were not either too mature for him, ie, field guides, or books of fiction -- imaginative stories about snail characters. So, this book was just what they were looking for, and the little fellow has an eight-year-old brother who can read it to him. It was a good choice.
