We are living in strange times.  

A mysterious disease has spread itself across the world, people are panicking, lives are being lost, jobs are being lost, and we are social isolating.  Instead of one day, looking back and recording content about this time, 

I thought it would be best to do it while we are living it. I wanted to share my feelings and thoughts on what is going on in the world today and hope it resonates with you.  

So here it is! My first solo episode. No guest, just me.

Comedy is awesome, isn't it? There is a special skill to make a room full of people laugh.

I have been getting more and more into the comedy world over the years, learning of comics like Theo Von, Chris D'elia, Bryan Callen, Bobby Lee and a ton more from around the world.

Only recently have I started learning about the local UAE comedy scene and my first attempt was visiting a local comedy show hosted by Comedy Kix, a UAE comedy club.

What brought me there is a story of its own and the result was awesome.

One comedian really grasped the attention of the crowd through his crowd work, it had a strong feel of Andrew Schulz, and that was Abz Ali.

After the show, I invited Abz on the podcast and when we started recording I knew it was gonna be an interesting one.

This one is for the books! I hope you enjoy it and laugh along with us.

How authentic are we with our content?

These are some of the questions this podcast episode tries to answer.  

I was fortunate enough to sit down with my closest friend Hani, who I've known for over 20 years. Like so many of us, Hani and I ended living in different countries and continents and it has become rare to have a long-form discussion face to face. This is why this episode is very dear to my heart.  

I was finally able to share my thoughts and ideas of this journey I am on for the first time with someone that has known me in my early days.  Not only that, I was able to hear his thoughts and perspectives on many topics and learn more about him.  It was a great episode full of value and I hope to have many more with Hani in the future.  

One lesson that I definitely can take away from this is, we all need to put more effort into our relationships as true genuine friends are hard to come by.

Self-awareness. 

I have been obsessed with this concept for a while now and discuss it openly with my podcast guests, friends and on social media.  

Sometimes in life, you go down a rabbit-hole due to circumstances, your group of friends, or a number of other reasons.  

My guest on this episode started his hustle creating a rap group in his hometown to then owning a nightclub at the age of 20.  He had to develop that self-awareness to realize that if he continued down that road, it might take him to a place he did not want to go.  

He is currently the Head of Growth at Chalhoub Group after spending many years as Managing Director of Duval Consulting.  

Nick found a way to take the learnings of his youth and implement them in his professional life. Listening to that journey was just awesome!

You learn a lot from the people you work with, even if you don't think you are. 

Some teach you technical stuff, others teach you strategic aspects and even the ones you think suck, they actually teach you as well. 

The point is, always learn. Learn from everyone around you.

Pedro is one person, that really helped me shape my knowledge of digital media buying; especially the world of programmatic He is an ex-colleague who took the time to riff and discuss aspects that, at the time, were out of my realm of knowledge.

So to get him on the podcast and discuss different topics from media to running a beer company and much more was just awesome!

I first came across Rayan from his Instagram ads playing one of his Beat Labs; the moment I heard that song I was blown away. His Beat Lab series has blown up due to the consistency and creativity of his work. You have to check out the beat he created call Shogun, which will be on his Instagram page.

Apart from producing music for artists, Rayan also sings and can be seen across many music events in Dubai. Not only did we talk about music we also delved into our personal journeys in life, the importance of self-awareness and a ton of other topics.

Hi All! Welcome to the new Let's Take This Online podcast format.

Moving forward all episodes can be found on YouTube where you can watch the first 30 minutes of the podcast, before choosing to continue on this audio platform. The whole point is to bring you the best of both worlds, video and audio.

My first guest in this new format is Yasser Ahmad, a good friend of mine. It was awesome to riff and discuss different topics such as Arab middle names, the reality of nature, moose and a ton of other tangents.

We enjoyed recording the episode so much we decided to create and co-host a brand new podcast show called The Tangent! This new show will tackle completely new subjects to us such as orca whales in captivity and the US electoral process; with the point being to grow our knowledge and formulate our ideas on those topics and in turn add value and knowledge to you the listener. The Tangent will be out very soon and can be found on all podcast platforms as well as YouTube.
