The resignation of Rt Hon Gabriel Dewan as the speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly has gotten mixed reactions from the people especially on social media.
Dewan resigned and handed office to the man who was elected to take over office, to avoid vacuum in government, Rt Hon Na'anlong Daniel. With the assumption of the new speaker in office, it can be said that in two years the Assembly got three different speakers from three different political parties to lead the house.
