Our personal identities are comprised of many things that make us who we are. Culture and racial identity are two parts of the puzzle that everyone interacts with differently. Today, we talk about how our upbringings and personal experiences has shaped how we identify with our cultural roots.
In this episode, we sit down with William Lou, reporter and writer for Sportsnet who has been writing about the Toronto Raptors since his latter years here at McMaster University circa 2015. Join Ashton as they discuss the hardships of pursuing a career outside traditional cultural norms, his experiences that shaped his career decisions and touch on his time here at McMaster.
In the month of October, McMaster CSA ran a mental health week to bring awareness to this taboo topic amongst the Asian community. In this episode, join Christine, Shelby, and Chloe in a conversation about their personal experiences with how the pandemic affected their mental health and whether therapy is a healthy option.
