Today's guest is Matthew Kobach. Many people know Matthew for being a leader in the Twitter space. He's built an incredible community for himself and today he’s going to tell us all about how he did that. We’ll also discuss how his own incredible personal brand has benefited his employer.
When he started building his personal brand, he was not yet with Fast, which is a brand new startup. He has helped it grow even faster by the power of his personal brand. We're going to talk about that as well as this larger shift, which is about companies valuing their employee's personal brands instead of seeing it as a threat.

This week's guest is Gary Ware of Breakthrough Play, which facilitates personal and professional breakthroughs through the power of play. As adults, we often forget how to do that; Gary rediscovered the power of play himself through comedic improv training, and figured out how to apply that to something new.
Marketing is a creative application when you think about it. Gary very brilliantly made that twist from a marketing career into creating Breakthrough Play, where he works with corporations and teams and groups to rediscover the power of play to enhance their creativity, productivity, and facilitate team building.

Today’s guest Ryan Foland is all about ditching the act, keeping it real, and bringing his whole self to the table rather than playing some sort of part of what he should be, because what he should be is himself. He’s the perfect person to talk with us today about this week’s topic, branding with authenticity.

Welcome back to Let's Talk About Brand! Today’s show is special because our guest is talking with us live from Sydney, Australia! We have the fabulous Chocolate Johnny on with us today to talk with us about personalizing a brand.
John Kapos is a third-generation chocolatier. His family business, Perfection Chocolates, was founded in 1939. They hand-make their chocolates and confections in Sydney, Australia. Years ago, John realized the power of social media, especially video for small businesses. Today, he spreads that message to small businesses all over the world, as well as continuing to put it to use for Perfection Chocolates!
When John took over the family business, social media wasn’t around yet. However, John is an early adopter, so it didn’t take long to hop on all the social media platforms. He not only used social media to grow his business but used it to become well known through his personal brand, Chocolate Johnny.
This episode was originally broadcast as a livestream on October 23, 2020. It has been edited from its original format.
