Dr. Michelle Watson Canfield is a national speaker, author, professional counselor of 25 years, and founder of The Abba Project, a nine-month group forum for dads whose daughters are in their teens and 20’s. She writes guest articles regularly for journals and magazines (online and print), as well as her own bi-monthly Dad-Daughter Friday blog, and has been interviewed on numerous radio programs and television programs.

Her first book is titled, "Dad, Here’s What I Really Need From You: A Guide for Connecting With Your Daughter’s Heart" (which is also available in her voice on Audible), and she has also written contributing chapters in "Fathers Say" and "How to Disciple Men." Dr. Michelle hosts a weekly radio program in her hometown of Portland, Oregon called The Dad Whisperer, which is also available on her website and as a podcast on iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play.

Dr. Michelle’s second book, another field guide for dads of daughters, titled "Let’s Talk: Conversation Starters for Dads and Daughters" is available in print, audio, and on Kindle (Publisher: Bethany House/Baker Books). She also co-chairs the Father-Daughter Initiative at the National Center for Fathering with Dr. Ken Canfield.

Dr. Michelle earned a B.S. from Multnomah University, an M.S. in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark College, and a Ph.D. in health psychology from Walden University. Additionally, she launched her own radio program, The Dad Whisperer, in 2016 in her hometown of Portland, Oregon.

Bryan C. Johnson is Board Chair and current Managing Director of Psalm68Five Ministries. Bryan became fatherless at the age of 4 when his father became Missing in Action in Vietnam. It was not until 13 years later that Bryan and his family learned the fate of his earthly father, that he had died in Vietnam all those years earlier.

He came to know that his Heavenly Father had a special compassion for those who grow up fatherless. Bryan is burdened to share the messages of changing from an orphan spirit identity to a child of God identity.

“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows” became the anchor promise for Lori's family in 1999 upon the tragic death of Bobby Apon, her husband and the father of her 8 children. Hundreds of people walked alongside her family, modeling how to care for the widow and fatherless. Because of their involvement in their lives and with the perspective of God as Defender and Father, over 20 years later, they continue to testify that choosing God’s perspective makes a difference.

With an empty nest in sight, God called Lori to give the next season of her life to comfort as she had been comforted. In 2016 Perspective Ministries was started to meet the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the widow and her fatherless children. To this day, they strive to connect the widow to resources and help, reminding her she has not been left alone and to equip others to do the same.

Christian singer/songwriter, Jason Gray bridges the gap between inward-thinking contemporary folk and hook-minded pop, adding his own spiritual perspective to the mix. Gray emerged in the 2000s and gained wider recognition after signing to Centricity Music. Jason Gray was born and raised in southern Minnesota. He grew up on the road with his mother, who used to make her living by performing in bar bands. As disagreements between his parents led to a bitter divorce and custody battle when Gray was just six, he developed a stuttering impediment. His mother remarried, but his stepfather became increasingly abusive after her conversion to Christianity when Gray was a fourth grader. Her conversion at a Brian Rudd revival meeting led her to go from being in a bar band to singing at revival meetings "literally overnight". In 1989 Gray's mother and stepfather were divorced, and he and his mother relocated to the Mankato, Minnesota, area where Gray would live for the next 26 years, working first as a youth pastor and eventually growing an audience for his unique brand of songwriting and storytelling.

Jake is the current founder and CEO of "Heart of Many Colors." Jake and his family currently live in Stephenville Texas. His heart and passion is to see people live in Christ and demonstrate the kingdom of God everywhere they go. For over a decade he has seen thousands of people give their lives to Jesus. He believes, the Holy Spirit has given all believers everything they need through the spiritual gifts, to see the kingdom of God demonstrated in their lives. Jake gave his life to Jesus at the young age of 5. Then at the age of 9 he was shown the supernatural power of God in a vision, after his family's truck was hit head on by a truck driven by a young man committing suicide. Through God's power he was taken out of his body and God showed him his family from His perspective. Not the mangled broken bodies in the vehicle but as the picture perfect people God sees. In reality, his Dad had died on impact, his mother had been crushed by the engine leaving her with a broken leg, her crushed face, and broken back, to name a few. One of his brother's head was split down the middle and had a severe brain injury. In the following 10yrs this trauma, grief, and teenage life came to a head when he was 19. He tried committing suicide the same way, by driving his truck into an eighteen wheeler, but he heard a voice in his head say to him "you don’t want to do this" and something froze his hands to his steering wheel and stopped him. It wasn’t until this point that he began to really seek out God. After which God placed many godly people in his path to share and help him understand God's love and plan for him. In March of 2006, he was on a mission trip to Spain and he had a personal encounter with the Holy Spirit at a dinner table. He recalls “In an instant, I felt the tangible arms of the Father hold me and say to me... you are my son and I love you!” Following this encounter, his Heart was awakened to the presence of God and His word. He began to see God do miraculous things in and through him. Eric Swithin is the Executive Director and President of The Alliance for Ending the Fatherless Epidemic, an Outdoor Adventures affiliate.  He served four years in the United States Marine Corps, received his BA in Economics from Rice University, and his Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. Eric is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Discipleship and Spiritual Formation at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Eric spent three years as a youth pastor before going full-time with Outdoor Adventures.
