Veronica talks about her mother's passage to America. Not in flight from Castro, but before. Veronica's mother chose to migrate to the US to make a better life for herself before the revolution caused great upheaval of the people. Here we talk about Cubans and whiteness. Many if not most white Cubans are white first and Cuban somewhere second. It seems that the scourge of white supremacy is everywhere and doesn't seem to be abating.
