Wer in der Schweiz legal in der Sexarbeit tätig sein will, muss komplexe bürokratische Auflagen erfüllen. Sexarbeit unterliegt zudem der Steuerpflicht. Arbeitsrechtlich geschützt und sozial abgesichert sind Sexarbeitende hingegen kaum. Hinzu kommt in vielen Fällen ein grosses Machtgefälle zwischen Arbeiter*innen und Club-Betreibenden. In der aktuellen Folge von «Let’s talk about Sex Work» berichtet Miss Juli von den ausbeuterischen Erfahrungen, die sie in einem Massage-Club gemacht hat: Über 50% ihrer finanziellen Einnahmen musste sie ihren Chefs abgeben, Sozialversicherungsbeiträge wurden von diesen nur lückenhaft einbezahlt, einen schriftlichen Arbeitsvertrag oder Lohnausweise hat sie nie erhalten. Als sie sich wehren möchte und beginnt, Fragen zu stellen, kommt das bei den Chefs schlecht an. Ihr wird fristlos gekündigt. Miss Juli ist gelernte Informatikerin, hat in der Schweiz einen legalen Aufenthaltstitel und spricht perfekt Deutsch. Mittlerweile hat sie sich als Sexarbeiterin selbständig gemacht, ihre eigene Webseite aufgebaut und organisiert sich im Sex Workers Collective. Nicht alle Sexarbeitenden haben aber diese Möglichkeiten. Miss Juli fordert deshalb von den Behörden, die Betreiber und Betreiberinnen von Clubs in die Pflicht zu nehmen und gute Arbeitsbedingungen für Sexarbeitende sicherzustellen.

«Ich mache Leute glücklich», sagt Electra Elite über ihre Arbeit an der Langstrasse in Zürich. Sie ist trans Frau und arbeitet seit 12 Jahren als Sexarbeiterin in der Schweiz. In ihrem Herkunftsland Serbien ist Electra eine berühmte Sängerin und Aktivistin. Sie setzt sich dort für die Legalisierung der Sexarbeit ein. Denn in Serbien ist die Sexarbeit verboten und muss versteckt stattfinden. Wie ihre Kinder mit diesen beiden Jobs umgehen und wieso sie es als Vorteil erachtet, als trans Frau in der Sexarbeit tätig zu sein, erzählt Electra im Gespräch mit Brigitte Hürlimann.
