Josh shares with us a quick pulse check on how things are going down in Florida as well as his student chapter’s innovative efforts throughout the spring semester of social distancing. Relying on virtual meetings, the FSU chapter has been able to maintain regular check ins as well as experience virtual club tours. Even more exciting is the work the FSU Student Chapter and the FLCMAA Chapter have done to create a virtual summer internship program to help students fill the gaps left by employment and experience loss this summer.

This week, we're talking with Joe Mendez, CCM, CCE, about the recent CARES Act for coronavirus relief and the SBA Loans included within that legislation. Melissa walks us through what provisions the CARES Act includes and how clubs can (and cannot) take advantage. Joe shares his personal experience in determining what his club could act on, how he has handled furloughs and layoffs, and the ways in which he is getting involved in advocacy on the grassroots level.

We're keeping it topical this month with an episode dedicated to Crisis Management and Critical Leadership. After sharing the bevy of resources CMAA has put together and continues to update for our members during the COVID-19 pandemic, we sat down with Joe Krenn, CCM, CCE, GM/COO of Farmington Country Club to hear his take on the current events and share his strategies for managing a club through critical and uncertain times. We were also joined by Jon Kametz of Saucon Valley Country Club, as he shared the club's Emergency App - a tool that continues to prove it's worth as the Club adjusts to the changing landscape.
