How often do we find ourselves speeding through tasks just to get it checked off of our list to say, "I've accomplished?" Maybe some of you have sped up on a yellow light so you didn't have to sit through the red light. Let's not forget about that yield sign that we quickly check what's coming before we get to it and then speed into the merging traffic. We've all been guilty in this area one way or another, right? 

Why are we so anxious to get to the next destination that we don't adhere to the signs telling us to stop for just a minute, or slow down? There are little things in our daily lives that remind us to take a minute so that we can hear and see clearly in the midst of everything that's moving around us. Those moments remind us and allow us to wait for the clear path or listen out for warnings. If only we would just sit still for a minute....

Just Because You are Doesn't Mean I Have To Be

This episode dives into the different "ships" (friend, partner, work, etc.) we are involved in what's being shared. Are we showing up in the capacity that other's need?

It's a lot of snacking goin' on! What are you eating?

Key Points:

1. What's the purpose? : When we engage in conversations with others, what is the projected outcome? It's too much snacking on junk! Let's check our hearts to see what's really needed to feed ourselves and promote growth. 

2. What's your mindset like? : If you want to advance in life, you have to do something you've never done to get what you want. What needs to be eliminated in this season? What are we uprooting?

3. What does this mean for us? : Loyalty does not look the same for everyone nor does it look the same every time. Things can change and I can still be loyal. I can still show up for you, but in different capacity.

What does being comfortable do for you? You are being tugged and pulled about something so strong, but you're stuck and don't know where to start. Start by being obedient and everything else will flow. 

Key Points:

1. You Can Run, But You Can't Hide: Self-Explanatory. Who are you fooling? It keeps popping up and you think you're going to get away with it. Surrender and do what you've been asked to do.
2. Impact Over Inspiration: Do the right thing, period. Let light shine through you by being obedient. Help others. Be consistent.
3. Self-Examination: What are you being called to do? What is on your heart? I pray that you free yourself from fear today and take the next step into whatever you are being asked to do in your community, your job, church, family, business, etc. Do it, family! You got it!
