Cloud and the gang raid Junon Underwater Reactor, gaining access to the top secret military facility with a 10 gil bribe! Cid goes to Space! People Despair! And Abbey continues her first adventure through Final Fantasy Seven!

We take a break this episode to catch up on some side events that happen in the game now that Cloud has recovered his memory. We also check out FFVII: Last Order on the advice of a fan and have a discussion about these things and how we feel about the story as a whole so far. Next week, Junon Reactor!

Let’s get the gang back together! In a very odd and mind bending way. Our new captain Cid takes the crew to Corel and then Fort Condor to get a hold of the BIG and HUGE Materia. We learn that Cid cannot drive a train and also cannot stop a train. We delve into Cloud’s subconscious and find out that everything is a bit messed up in there. Do we finally have the truth? Abbey has many questions!

Abbey announces she doesn’t like this game anymore and then spends the rest of the episode defending it. Except the slap fight - screw the slap fight. Our heroes escape their public execution at Junon Harbour in their newly ship the HighWind. Tifa is the leader for approximately half a minute before running off to be with Cloud. We talk in depth about the choices made in this episode and whether the narrative lives up to expectations.

This section of our adventure made Abbey’s brain hurt. Firstly, a man who has been missing for 20 years teaches us how to climb a mountain. We discover the wound in the Planet and nothing makes sense after that point. Everyone from the main attraction Sephiroth to our old friend Rufus. Cloud is introduced to harsh truths about his back story and it turns out Tifa has known all along. When the dust settles Cloud is missing and everyone else is about to be publicly executed. We continue our adventure… now without the only adventurer who had a clue what was going on. We make our way to Icicle Inn and shamelessly steal from a widow before watching someone’ home videos. In doing so we get to learn a little more about Aerith and her tragic backstory, we get to hate Hojo just as much as before and we get to watch Cloud be punched in the face. Perhaps most importantly we get to listen to Abbey relive her SSX tricky days with remarkably less success. Be nice to us internet!

Through the first ever Crash Bandicoot level and a Clock which was beyond the mathematical skills of Anthony. We encounter Sephiroth and the B.L.A.C.K M.A.T.E.R.I.A and ultimately uncover Sephiroth’s evil plan. Cloud also makes some shocking discoveries about himself. Be nice to us internet!
