This week we have the pleasure to interview on the Let's talk ICP Podcast, one of the key people on the DFINITY Foundation and one of the main contributors to the Internet Computer blockchain evolution and development.

Dieter has earned a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on computer security and a minor in Business Administration as well as a PhD in computer security.

He started his professional career at IBM Research Zurich where he was working with Jan Camenisch on systems aspects of the Identity Mixer anonymous credential systems, his PhD topic.

He started his 11 years stay at IBM Research as a Predoctoral Researcher and moved on to the positions of Research Staff Member and Advisory Project Manager, leading a large international R&D program. He later became Technical Project Manager in a large international R&D project. Besides his project and program management activities he was involved in engineering and architecture and has filed multiple patents, mostly in the area of computer security.

Before joining DFINITY, he was the Security Architect of Raiffeisen Schweiz, the third-largest Swiss bank, with broad company-wide responsibilities in the area of IT security.

In this episode we talked with Marcus Staedler, Head of Sales and Marketing at Papers and Airgap Wallet.

Papers is a web3 venture studio founded as a software provider developing ventures in blockchain online security and cryptography.

The Airgap is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that lets secure crypto assets offline. It achieves this by using two apps, called Airgap vault and Airgap wallet. The vault is responsible for secure seed generation and storage, and air-gapped transaction signing through QR codes. The wallet creates transactions, broadcasts transactions, and shows a portfolio overview. It is installed on everyday smartphones with network access.

Airgrap integrates Internet Computer Protocol (ICP)

At the end of March they will activate staking for ICP in their high secure, self custody cold wallet Airgap. As well they integrate the newly native Bitcoin integration ckBTC into their Airgap wallet.

Finterest lets you supply assets to the protocol and earn yield upon them, paid by borrowers who can take overcollateralized loans. Each asset is a different money market that has its own APY, supply rate and borrow rate. Interest rates for lending are borrowing are ruled completely by supply and demand on the protocol - that is, if a market has a big amount of value borrowed, suppliers will earn a more rewarding yield than if there was very little borrowed.

In this episode, we talked with Diego Prats, Principal R&D DFINITY Foundation.

Diego was born and grow up in Tijuana (Mexico), he is a software engineer and product manager with an emphasis on platform growth.

He studied Applied Math & Economics at Harvard University and is a PhD dropout in Operations Research Engineering from USC.

Previously he co-founded a privacy-focused PaaS for serverless applications and was VP of Growth & Product Engineering at Overnight.

He has been entrepreneur since his twenties and he has been working as a Software engineer and product manager focused on protocols, growth, platforms, and marketplaces. He has led teams of engineers, cryptographers, and designers in blockchain, consumer and B2B apps.

He joined DFINITY Foundation in 2018 and he has been working in different manager roles: engineering manager, product, consensus team, networking team, SDK team, design team, community and currently R&D Special Projects team.

The DFINITY Foundation is a not-for-profit organization based in Zurich, Switzerland, and operates research centers in Palo Alto, San Francisco, Shanghai and Zurich. The DFINITY Foundation is a major contributor to the Internet Computer blockchain.

In this episode, we talked with George Cretu, the Founder of Unfold VR.

In this episode, we talked with Mechaquan, Head of Growth for TaggrNetwork.

TAGGR is a fully autonomous experimental FULLY on-chain Web 3 social network powered by the #InternetComputer #ICP.

THE GAME

The experimental part of #Taggr is that the community decides what the rules are. The auto-regulation is enforced through a scheme of incentives:

• Every user starts with at least 1000 cycles minted for 1 XDR in ICP.

• Every mutable operation on Taggr burns user's cycles.

• Users earn or lose "karma" by writing posts and getting reactions and comments.

• Users can mint new cycles at any point paying at least 1 XDR in ICP.

• All ICPs go to Taggr's Treasury, which is split weekly among all users with positive weekly karma balance and Taggr's token holders.

In this episode, we talked with Luke Dugdale, founder of Funded (previous Crowdfund NFT).

CrowdFund NFT is an alternative to Kickstarter, Go Fund Me, and other traditional crowdfunding platforms. Its unique approach? It runs entirely on the Internet Computer blockchain, and uses NFTs to provide backers with ‘proof of ownership’ in the projects they help crowdfund.
