Through Week 7, Detroit looks like one of the best teams in the NFL but Green Bay is currently edging them for the NFC North title.

Though the Detroit Lions secondary on defense is depleted - the backups made names for themselves vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Lions defense held Baker Mayfield and the Bucs to only 9 points total in the NFL Monday Night Football game in Week 7 of the 2025 season. The Lions look to be as good as presumed, or rather as some presumed. The Detroit Lions lose to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6 of the 2025 NFL season. The Lions looked sloppy in some areas and offensively couldn't clinch in moments that mattered. Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a 30-17 win over Jared Goff and Dan Campbell's Lions. Brian Branch also put himself and the Lions in a bad situation with throwing a punch as the game ended.
