Dr. Heba Khamis is Co-Founder and CEO of Contactile, a Sydney-based technology company focused on enabling robotic dexterity with a human sense of touch. She has a PhD in Engineering from University of Sydney. She has been developing tactile sensors for robotics since 2014.

Dr. Michael Lucas is an accomplished inventor with several patents to his name, spanning agricultural products, beverage trays, software, robotics, materials handling, and oil processing. Holding a PhD in Mechatronics Engineering, with a focus on modular mobile robotics and the anthropology of designers, he also possesses an Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering specializing in product and systems design and manufacture. His academic background is complemented by diplomas in computer graphics, animation, and IT. As a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Australia, Dr. Lucas brings a wealth of expertise to his field.

Dr. Lucas has made significant contributions to various industries. Most recently, he has been instrumental in accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy at Tesla, where he played a key role in building the machines that build the machines. His earlier career highlights include contributing to Woolworths' landmark MSRDC automated grocery distribution center, leading Hydrodec’s global engineering team, and developing cutting-edge robotics, computer vision, and AI systems for CHEP/Brambles. Additionally, he has worked with manufacturing industry clients at Dematic on a variety of bespoke projects.

Beyond his technical achievements, Dr. Lucas has demonstrated leadership in professional circles. He has chaired professional bodies, including one with over 27,000 members, and has been recognized for his early career contributions, including chairing the inaugural International Young Professionals Summit. His accolades include being named Australian Young Professional Engineer of the Year and three-time finalist for Young Australian of the Year.

Joseph Kenrick is Technical Director of the ELO2 Consortium and heads up the Lunar Outpost Oceania office, based in Melbourne, Australia. He holds a Master's Degree in Space Resources and a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering with a Minor in Economics from the Colorado School of Mines.

Joseph worked as Reservoir and Production Engineer in the oil and gas industry for several years before transitioning to the space industry. During his master’s studies, Joseph conducted research on mining water and regolith on the lunar surface.

At Lunar Outpost, he played a vital role in various projects, including NASA’s Break the Ice Challenge, the Autonomous Site Preparation: Excavation, Compaction and Testing Rover, and the Cislunar Logistics Center (a partnered project with the United States Air Force).

Currently, Joseph is spearheading the ELO2 Consortium’s technical and project efforts to develop an autonomous lunar excavator for the Australian Space Agency's Moon to Mars Trailblazer Program, which will be the country's first mission to the Moon.

Joseph also leads the commercialisation of the company’s space robotic systems for use in extreme environments on Earth.

Peter Milani is the founder and managing director of Ichor Autonomy. He has a Masters in Engineering and is a veteran roboticist. He has been developing robots in industry and research institutions for over 12 years. He was an original member of Emesent Pty Ltd, a CSIRO spinout, specialising in UAV GPS-denied autonomy, mapping and perception. He was a member of the CSIRO Data61 DARPA SubTerranean Challenge Team, developing UAV perception and autonomy inputs. He was also the first Lead Engineer of Swarmfarm Robotics, an agricultural robotics startup, and automated their first two UGV prototypes. Peter also served full-time as a General Service Officer in the Australian Army for 13 years, as both a Combat and Logistics Officer before separating and working in heavy mining with BMA in the Bowen Basin.

John has over 10 years of experience in Robotics and AI and holds a PhD in Robotics from the University of Sydney. John has experience working across industries and different company sizes. Including working for large mining corporations, running small
startups and doing post-doctoral research. John's goal is to build a thriving robotics ecosystem in Australia.

Dawid Croucamp, the Director and founder of DCNETWORX Robotics Automation Company, a seasoned Robotics Engineer with 24 years of experience. He studied electronic engineering and completed a 5-year Instrument Mechanician trade. Dawid spent a decade overseas working on large-scale projects, installing robotic systems for prominent clients such as BMW in Germany, Jaguar in England, VW in Italy, and projects in China and Detroit, Michigan. After installing hundreds of robot systems worldwide, he moved to Australia in 2006, where he worked as a Robotics integrator and developer in Sydney for nine years. In 2019, he established DCNETWORX as a PTY company.

Ken Macken is the CEO and Co-Founder of Workr Labs Inc., an innovative software platform with a vision to revolutionize how humans and robots collaborate. With extensive experience spanning hardware and software, Ken brings a deep understanding of robotics, computer vision and an extensive knowledge in manufacturing. His professional journey includes founding multiple tech startups across the U.S. and Australia, contributing to his robust global perspective on technology and business. Ken is an alumnus of Techstars and holds multiple qualifications and degrees in Mechanical and Software engineering.
