Jonathan is Professor in Robotics at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Director of the Australian Cobotics Centre (also known as the ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre for Collaborative Robotics in Advanced Manufacturing). He is also the Technical Director of the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM Hub). His main areas of research are Field Robotics, Design Robotics and Medical Robotics. Before joining QUT, he was Research Director of CSIRO’s Autonomous Systems Laboratory. Jonathan is a Past President of the Australian Robotics & Automation Association Inc. He is the co-inventor of the UAV Challenge.
