All December, we've been talking and writing about advising, coaching, and mentoring on both the blog and in the podcast. So in this “CFS Talks Sales” roundtable, we'll be talking about working with a mentor, advisor, or coach.

In the podcast, we talked about the difference between all three key individuals and why you should consider finding one that best fits your needs. We shared stories about our personal experiences working with a mentor, advisor, or coach and discussed some of the challenges leaders face as they work to establish mentoring or coaching programs.  We also shared best practices and actionable advice for people looking to work with a business advisor, coach, or mentor.

Advice for Finding a Mentor, Advisor, or Coach
  1. Arianna mentioned that a great first step would be to find a peer-level mentor or coach, such as an “accountability partner”, that you can openly talk to.
  2. Charles recommended that you find someone at your level that has already hired a great coach and ask them for a referral.
