You may have often heard that hell is eternal or someone stating that a person will die and go to hell forever. But is that the case? The simple answer is “no”. So, in this lesson we will look at this subject from two primary passages of Scripture.
What happens when we die?
When Jesus died, His spirit went to "hell" and proclaimed a message. To whom did Jesus make proclamations and what was the message?
Under the Old Testament Levitical system, God commanded that the Israeli nation offer animal sacrifices. However, we know that this was a substitution until the True Sacrifice (Jesus, the Lamb of God) should come. Today, Christians are no longer obligated to observe the Levitical sacrificial system. However, there is coming a day when animal sacrifices will be reinstated!!
How do you feel about Jews? What do you think about the Jewish people? When God called Abraham, He made him a promise of blessing or cursing of others based on how they dealt with him and his descendants. What does this mean and is it relevant to non-Jews today?
