Mental health advocate Bill Turner joins us this week to discuss the different aspects of mental health consulting and the distinct differences between different mental health professionals.

In today’s episode, we welcome Ashley Avila and Dr. Bill Zima from Marzano Academies in Centennial, Colorado. They sit down with students from Smith-Cotton High School for a thoughtful conversation on Competency-Based Education (CBE).

Throughout the discussion, students from a variety of CBE-aligned programs share how this approach shapes their learning, their progress, and their everyday classroom experience.

In this episode, we sit down with Jessica Fox, a mental-health professional based in Sedalia, Missouri. Jessica shares her insight on the growing number of people actively seeking mental-health support and talks about how encouraging it is to see individuals taking steps to better themselves. She highlights the positive shift in attitudes toward therapy and wellness, emphasizing that reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Charlie Guthrie is known statewide for his work on behalf of veterans. He is a key member of the "Wreaths Across America" team and speaks at many events and schools throughout the area. The Dresden school students, with the help of the school staff, held a pennies war supporting this honorable project in 2024.
