The other day my husband and I were out for a drive and I saw a road sign that said “Are you where you want to be?”  No idea what if anything it was advertising. But it got me thinking.

Am I where I want to be? At this very moment physically, I would love to be at the beach but I don’t think that is what it meant. I believe it means are you where you want to be in life. For me at this time in my life the answer is yes. 

How are you doing today? Me? I am feeling a little sad, a little confused and a bit isolated.  I try to keep positive and upbeat but this world we live in today makes it tough at times.  

When I go to sleep at night I often wonder if I had a wish what would it be. Of course, there are wishes for individuals. But recently I have added a wish for everyone, that wish would be to wake up to a world where people were honest, respectful and kind to all. 

One of My newest gadgets is a Mini Handheld Plastic Bag Sealer, a Heat-Sealing Machine for Food Saving Storage. I saw this as an ad sometime ago on Facebook. I looked it up and it sounded too good to really work but hey it was under ten dollars what the heck, I ordered two I figured if it worked as advertised, I would give one to my daughter. If it didn’t work, I threw under $20 out the window. When it arrived I couldn’t wait to use it. Just Place edge of poly, plastic or mylar bag in your sealer and slowly pull the bag through. Squeeze air out of bag before completing the seal to create vacuum effect. Wala It worked just as advertised. Good Bye twistys and bag clips, hello my new best friend for sealing things. It fast easy, no mess and keeps everything fresh. 

This morning I woke up thinking I wonder how people see me? I wonder how they see themselves; how do I see myself. This is a weird question I know but often I think of weird things and where else to get answers but from other people. 

I am curious How do you see yourself, Take a good look at yourself?  

When you hear that do you physically go look in a mirror? Seriously. What do you do?

All my years I have never found a mirror to be an important part of my life. Many may laugh others may Make comments like it shows. 

Thinking about why you should give me and this podcast a chance and listening to myself and my explanation I want to plead with you to use that same reasoning when you think about doing something new or different. Give yourself a chance. Or if you see someone trying something new give them a shout out.  Clichés and quotes can inspire someone just when they need it. Here some to remember: 

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain."

Had this question been put to me years ago my answer probably would have been no. When I was first married with children I didn’t work outside the house. But I always had ideas, ideas everyone thought were farfetched. 

I hope you are where you want to be but if not don’t give up.

Believe in yourself, open yourself up to all possibilities, and remember success comes from within you, a desire, a dream a vison.

I recently came across a news paper clipping that my Grandmother had tucked away with her belongings that I have held onto for over 30 years. It’s from the North American Newspaper Alliance by Dan Valentine. It addresses a young son starting school. Which makes for easy reading but it should read Young sons and daughters.
