We all know and love Williamsport for the super popular “Little League Baseball World Series”.
This year, 2022, Little League Baseball celebrates 75-years and the series will now expand to an 11-day tournament…and will also expand to 20 teams with four new regions – Metro ; Mountain ; Panama and Puerto Rico. Kicking off with the Grand Slam Parade Monday, August 15 – the best American and International teams will compete August 17-28, and as always – all games are free to attend.
So other than Little League Baseball – what are some other Williamsport claims to fame?
Did you know in the 1800’s Williamsport was considered the “Lumber Capital of the World” with more millionaires per-capita than anywhere else on the planet – and you can still visit “Millionaires Row of Historic Mansions”.
There is so much to discover in Williamsport, and my on-air guests – Jason Fink, President & CEO of Visit Williamsport and Brian McClintock, Senior Communications Executive “Little League” are the experts when it comes to spending time and exploring Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
