For this episode of The Drinklings, we will discuss Martin Luther King Jr.’s Letter from Birmingham Jail. Along with this incredible work of peaceful explanation for why the African-American protesters were trying to show the main populace of all the egregious laws and overall hatred set to simply quiet their voice, we will also talk about how such a letter could wind up being one of our most historical pieces of literature. This was recorded on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 2020 at The City Tavern in Carrollton, Ga. We choose the upstairs section to get a clearer recording and ensure that we gave this text the respect it deserves. The drink is a mixture of ginger ale that is only made in Birmingham, Alabama, the tasty Buffalo Rock, made similar to a Moscow Mule with tequila.
