When I faced my demons. It's not just that I became free of them, they lifted me up. I've been running away from the very pieces that I needed most. This armor is a million mistakes, it's a million tragedies, it’s letdowns and lessons, friendships betrayed, rejection and disappointment but because of them my world is limitless.

Then why is getting lost so important? It's important because you temporarily leave everything you know behind. And for a few short minutes your subconscious understands that life exists beyond the hamster wheel.

It lightens the heart. It shows you that things aren’t insurmountable or impossible. It starts to dissolve the discouragement and sadness and pain.

The single step you take today is the antidote to the soul-tearing effects of failure. It helps me, every day.

The current moment will forever be a fresh start, it’s a new beginning. But every so often it's important to look back. It’s necessary to examine the things that have shaped who we are and taught us our most valuable lessons.

See beginning again simply means a new chapter. It means the next adventure. It’s places you've never gone, people you've never met. It's stories untold and dreams still dancing around in your head.

Freedom is not a life without chaos. It’s trusting yourself to determine which dragons you will slay it's not a life without battle, but fighting those battles that result in your liberation dismissing the oppressors that build fences in your mind and chains around your soul - I’ve thought a lot about the idea of a life well lived. What it means, how it feels and it seems to me, it's about intentionality.

“Running out of time” 4 words that one day will have a permanent place in my arm as in tattood forever. I’ve long been infatuated by its powerful reminder that I only have so many days left on earth. I don’t know how many that is, but I do know it’s a very limited number. I know that each one of those limited days is a gift, a blessing, a miracle. And that squandering this miracle is a crime, a horrible lack of appreciation for what I’ve been given.
