These days people are even more stressed, because no one has hobbies anymore...Everyone wants to monetize the things that were originally set to relax and calm them.

You learn how to paint, next thing you know you're selling them...you learn how to sew...next thing you know you start charging for clothes alterations...You learn how to bake...next thing you know you're mass producing desserts in all your spare time...All the fun has been taken out of it...all the stress relief has been removed and replaced with deadlines, orders, and more PRESSURE. Yes, pressure makes diamonds--but it can also destroy.

Be wise and discerning. There is NOTHING wrong with using your talents to bring in income, but when you start revolving every gift /talent God blessed you with around money--it becomes an idol. And let's not mention greed and gluttony.

But anyway, although I hate that I was away from God for so long--I also thank Him for it. That time out in the world helped me see just how terrible it is to be away from Him. How much I truly need him. In this next episode we dive further into that as well as encourage those who haven't done it to STOP romanticizing it and leave that "What Ifs" alone. It's not WORTH it!

God is just like the father in this story...He welcomes us back with open arms!

I was reading the #Bible and reviewing the story of Solomon's wise ruling involving two mothers and one baby. (1 Kings 3:16-28)

While reading, it became apparent to me that a lot of times people don't even really want what you have--they just don't want YOU to have it. It's not about that job, (wo)man, car, opportunity, platform, etc.--it's about you. They would gladly destroy that thing altogether, if it meant NEITHER of you could have it. They don't even value or want it fareal. That blew my mind.

When we fall it is human nature for us to run and hide... we feel shame because we know that God sees everything we do, even in secret. But the worst thing you can do is stay gone.
