In this weeks episode of the Levelheads Podcast we welcome Melissa Hryszko from Veranda State Homes in Calgary, Canada. She joined the podcast to discuss her custom home building business. She and her husband, Rob, have been in the industry for 24 years, focusing on high-end, custom homes. Their team includes 12 people, including project managers, construction managers, and her 18-year-old son. They face challenges like high material costs, stringent energy codes, and labor shortages. Despite these, they maintain high standards and have expanded into a new community with faster production homes. Melissa emphasized the importance of continuous learning and fostering young talent in the trades.
This week the boys have an internal discussion on the division in this country exacerbated by social media. Jamie's building inspector makes a special appearance, and they talk about different software available to builders.

The Levelheads boys have officially gone global this week! They hopped across the Atlantic (through the airwaves) to chat with Ireland’s very own Stephen "Cowboy" Kelly. You probably know him from his wildly popular and side-splitting Instagram page, 3 Bucks Left. He’s also graced TV screens in both Ireland and Canada on the show The Hardy Bucks. You can catch him cracking jokes live across Ireland—and soon, in the U.S.—but for now, tune into the Levelheads Podcast. So grab yourself a crrreamy f’n pint and have a good listen!

We're flipping the script again with another client episode! Getting some good perspective from the client side with Verdura Construction's clients Greg & Carolyn Barsh. We ask them their thoughts on custom building, the building process, their experience with our favorite Cali builder and if Jamie is any good at what he does. We draw some comparisons to our profession and their professions. Check out the episode!

This week we have Brad Leavitt from A Finer Touch Construction (aka AFT Construction) a Scottsdale based luxury residential and commercial builder.
Brad talks about his personal story, the hurdles he had to jump to start his business and what he has done to make it a succesful and thriving construction company in the Scottsdale area. He also discusses his victories in social media & marketing and how he's become a brand ambassador in the industry. Brad is a polished professional, somewhat different than our three hosts. lol. Give it a listen!
Welcome in to the Levelheads podcast! This episode is pretty heavy as our own Zane Ellis opens up about his diagnosis, his life change and health. The boys talk about stress and how it can have devastating effects on our health. Our industry is highly stressful. Its good to have an outlet such as friends or family to talk to.
