Aparna Ramesh has secured All India Rank 35 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2020. Her optional subject was anthropology.
We, as Levellers, want to bring to you conversations based on life and its journey to get inspired, moved and generate awareness. With our first speaker, we are finally launching "Get Real" talk series! The idea is to understand the impact of thinking and creating differently, especially in the design sector from the individuals themselves. Our first speaker is an architect and designer, by education, from Delhi. Her name is Satya and she has been working with children since 2012. Satya was a Teach For India fellow in Pune in 2016 and was on the founding team of an early childhood education start-up, Pune Children's Zone. She thinks and feels deeply about restorative justice and currently runs a program called Taking Up Space, where she works with adults on their own identities and accessing restoration and reconciliation for themselves. She has set a different path to her life one that stemmed from a sense of awareness and with a vision to impact more lives, more children and to her that equals life. Presenting to you one of us, truly a Leveller, Satya. On the "Get Real" talk series powered by Levellers Foundation. As designers, we realised the gap in mediums of outreach especially in our industry with one-sided conversations. This creates a huge impact on the viewers watching it and following a set pattern. Our intention is to break that and create a flow of fresh thoughts by sharing stories of the people who are levelling the gap and creating impact!
The society that we live in today is divided. Very few people think of engaging in activities that aim for contributing voluntary support for a relevant cause. We, as Levellers, wish to join those very few and contribute through our technical, analytical and creative skillset to bring an impact in this society that needs change.
The gap between communication, information and hence its translation to action is only widening especially in the design sector. They say, leaders bridge the gap between talk and action. Realizing the gap in our fraternity we want to be the voice and stand up for the right and raise awareness.
It was in the wake of the pandemic that we realized further that there is so much that needs to be done on the ground and architects have a huge role to play. Some of us have worked with several NGOs realized the need to perform and act for immediate and emergency crises. As LEVELLERS we want to create an ambulance organisation and give design solutions to aid people and communities all over India. We also believe in the power of real stories and ground coverage. Our mission is to bring you those stories and their impact and share mindfulness. Ultimately motivation is the key.
WE ARE HERE TO LEVEL IT ALL. ARE YOU WITH US!!
