Dr. Aaron P. Brinen is a primary developer of Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy along with Aaron T. Beck, MD. Under the guidance of Dr. Aaron T. Beck, Dr. Brinen has worked to formalize the treatment, Recovery Oriented cognitive therapy (CT-R), adapt it to a group model, team-based approach, and milieu. He is a co-author in the upcoming manual of CT-R for schizophrenia, and has been active in the training of community therapists from around the world.
