Leviticus  11-15 is perplexing for modern readers. It deals with various conditions Israelites would encounter in their daily lives which would bring about a state of uncleanness. Before Israelites could approach the Tabernacle, they had to remedy their uncleanness through waiting periods, washings, and special offerings.
