「I will give peace in the land,

　and you shall lie down,

　and none will make you afraid;

　I will rid the land of evil beasts,

　and the sword will not go through your land.」　Amen.

God's covenant with the Israelites was a covenant of blessing for obedience and punishment for disobedience. It is up to us to choose blessing or punishment. However, if we sincerely repent, God is also a forgiving God. If we continue to walk in God's ways, we will be given peace and be able to sleep in peace without being threatened.
