「'Nevertheless no devoted offering that

　a man may devote to the Lord of all that he has,

　 both man and beast, or the field of his possession,

　 shall be sold or redeemed;

　every devoted offering is most holy to the Lord.」　Amen.

　Once something was dedicated to God, it became his property and could not be put to another use. This principle applies to our own devotion as well. In the Bible, some, like Demas, returned to the world, and others, like Mark, were restored as powerful warriors again. We who have been purchased by Jesus and surrendered our hearts to the indwelling Holy Spirit belong to the Lord. We should follow Him to the end.
