In this episode of Literally First Class™, Keri shares some first class moves that are sure to help you give less fucks, and therefore, have more fun. Keri attributes her ability to care less about what others think to the somatic work she has done, and her continued work with a mentor that is also committed to personal development and staying true to herself.
We’re all human, and our nervous system is constantly scanning the world for threats, whether real or imagined. This can sometimes inhibit us from doing the things that we really want to do, and letting loose. Keri encourages you to explore the edges of your nervous system and become more open to trying new things. This starts with knowing yourself so deeply that you know the difference between truth and trauma, because otherwise you can run off into storyland based on the experiences you have gone through and create perceived threats that are not actually real.
We have all heard the saying “you can’t pour from an empty cup,” and this couldn’t be more true. Being selfless is looked at as a virtue, but if you are constantly pouring out for others, when do you pour into yourself? Keri challenges you to be selfish and work on yourself so that you can more authentically show up for others. One way you can do this is by joining the next UNMADE retreat in Atlanta with Keri. Tune in to learn how to give less fucks and have more fun.
