Today’s show features a conversation with Suman Kamath, founder of Toby’s Hope, and her charity partner Cesar Pazo. Toby’s Hope was founded to help provide resources for people dealing with dogs with lymphoma. The goal is to reach diverse communities including those where a language or culture barrier might make it more difficult than usual to find the needed resources during such stressful times.
The organization helps with providing grants to people to offset medical costs, as well as online and in-person support groups for all those dealing with what can be a difficult and expensive disease. While Toby’s Hope currently serves just Washington pet parents, and only focuses on dogs with lymphoma, their hope is to branch out and provide care for additional cancers as the organization grows.
