Parables are ‘earthly stories’ with ‘heavenly meanings’ taking every day objects and situations to teach spiritual truths. Join us as we listen to five of these stories which lead us to Jesus.

We’ve been on a beautiful journey working through this book. We’ve learnt that we can expect God to speak to us, expect him to lead and protect us through his people, expect him to transform lives in the face of his Son, expect him to welcome us onto the New Heavens and the New Earth when all this over but until then, he has called us into literally a Glorious Calling-to be his people that carry his glory to the nations.

Where we know God is pressing on an area of our life, pursuing transformation in our lives, where we feel God is encouraging change and we are resisting - we are resisting the revealing of true beauty in our lives.

Take your sin seriously, plead for sinners around us and praise God that your sins have been atoned for. Exodus 32 is a stark warning to those who would want to entertain sin but it shouts hope to those who who seek to put it to death.

Stop running, stop trying harder, stop work to earn God's favour. Stop thinking you are enough.

Come to Jesus and see that he has dealt with your sin once and for all and rest. We don't need to do more better. Ours sins have been paid for and the work of the cross is finished.

The deep, gut longing for home is found in Jesus. Jesus is our true home and we will continue to feel restless and feel the need to create until he finally welcomes us home.

All of the talk of blood in the the Old Testament is prompting Gods people. It's preparing Gods people for Jesus, who’s blood was shed on the cross for them and for us.

There is a path that leads away from chaos into joy and its found when we walk in obedience to our gracious God.

God's law is good, for those who are found in the perfect law keeper Jesus. For those who aren't it hangs over us in judgment but for God's people, we are free to keep it and are covered in grace when we fail - all because of Jesus.
