Enduring joy comes from God. While many live according to their own wisdom, God gives lasting fulfillment to those who trust Him.

God's promises in the New Covenant complete the previous covenants He made with His people by the redemptive and royal work of our Lord Jesus Christ.

God promised to give David dominion, descendants, and a dynasty, all of which are fulfilled in and by our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of David.

In a time of Israel's idolatry, God promised to give a perpetual priesthood to the faithful man Phinehas and his descendants. This temple service will continue in the millennial kingdom when Christ rules in the throne of David and the Levites also serve in the temple.

After delivering them from slavery in Egypt, God cut a covenant with His people Israel at Mount Sinai. In keeping this covenant, the Israelite nation would enjoy God's special favor and serve as a testimony to the nations of God's holiness and grace. The Mosaic Covenant found its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, who "is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."

God promised to give Abraham a vast number of descendants, a land, and a blessing to him and to all nations through his seed. God is faithful to His promises as we see fulfilled in and by our Lord Jesus Christ.

God promised to Noah to save him and his family from the worldwide flood and later promised to preserve the earth and its inhabitants from another flood. He is just and merciful to condemn sin and to offer righteousness by His grace through our faith in Him.

God keeps His promises. The covenants He has made to and with His people show His perfections and purposes in history and compel us to trust in Him for the fulfillment of these wonderful declarations.

God saves people by His grace through our faith in Christ's finished work of redemption at the cross. Unbelievers wrongly insist that they can be justified by their works, while the gospel teaches us that is is Christ's work that saves.

In His authority, our Lord Jesus commands His people to go to all the nations with His gospel of salvation.
