These are difficult days for raising children. That’s why The Children's Corner and Liberty Corner Kids are so important to God’s plan and to our church. Here’s a message of encouragement for parents plus others as we seek to raise kids who love the Lord.

One word that surely describes our God is “Generous!” It’s the same word that should describe His people, but it goes against the grain for most of us. Listen to five reasons we need to be transformed in terms of our finances.

Most of us spend a major portion of our week at work. Even in “retirement” we give ourselves to a variety of efforts, making use of our time and skills. But do we do it well? Does our work reflect God's life in us? Listen as we unpack the Bible’s teaching about our work.

We live in a world where we may have many social media “friendships” that are shallow and unsatisfying. Jesus modeled spiritual friendship for us. Spiritual friends are the best kind of friends. Spiritual friendships are deep friendships. They are the ones that will be the greatest benefit to us, and they last into eternity.

Why is it so hard to change? Why does transformation seem to take so long? Why am I so stuck? Last Sunday’s message concluded that if we will learn to think right and do right, we will have the peace for which we yearn. But, “I’ve tried that!” is a frequent response. What is the missing key? Listen closely as we dig deeper.

The Bible says that being “transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2) is a key to fulness of life. It’s a change that will impact every area of life. But can we make it happen? Can we do it in “Three Easy Steps”? No, it won’t be that easy, but it will be worth all the effort we invest.

Does God care about my body? He’s going to replace it, and besides, it’s my spirit that really counts — my soul — the part of me that connects with God. My body’s headed for the dust bin. What difference does it make? You might be surprised! Listen carefully and learn how your body matters to God!

“Transformed!” Rebuilding the foundation of our lives. We go back to the basics in this, the first sermon of our series. We look at the journey of “Following Jesus” and find that it’s not automatic. It takes a decision!

A healthy plant produces fruit! So do Christians! So do churches! The fruit is on display in the church at Jerusalem! It’s produced by God in response to the believers seeking Him through the heart-directed disciplines of the Christian life. Listen so that you can see the same kind of fruit as you pursue God.
